Starting a subscription
Every account includes the Free plan. When paid Checkout is enabled and configured for the deployment, Settings shows the available Core or Premium plan and billing-cadence combinations. Choices that are not configured are not offered.
Choosing an available paid option starts a hosted Stripe Checkout session. A qualifying synchronized subscription makes the corresponding paid plan effective in the application.
Monthly and annual billing
The application supports monthly and annual Stripe price configurations for Core and Premium. A deployment may offer both cadences, only one, or no paid Checkout. Settings is the source of truth for the choices currently available to an account.
Pricing and the renewal date are shown by the configured Checkout and subscription details. This documentation does not promise a price or paid-plan availability that is not displayed in the application.
Managing billing
When a Stripe customer is linked to the account, the Manage billing action in Settings opens the hosted Stripe customer portal. Available portal actions can include reviewing the subscription, updating a payment method, and changing or canceling billing, according to the portal configuration.
Canceling a subscription
Use Manage billing to open the Stripe portal and follow the cancellation options shown there. The application itself does not expose a separate cancellation button outside that portal.
When Stripe schedules cancellation for the end of the current paid period, Settings shows an end date and the paid plan remains effective through that period while the subscription is otherwise eligible. If Stripe records an immediate cancellation or the paid period has ended, the effective plan falls back to Free.
What happens after cancellation
Cancellation does not delete scenarios or other financial data. Existing scenarios remain available to view, edit, and delete after the account returns to Free.
Free includes one baseline and up to two additional scenarios. If the account has more than two additional scenarios when paid access ends, existing work remains available, but creating or duplicating another scenario is blocked until usage is within the Free allowance or a qualifying paid plan becomes effective again.
Failed payments and security
A synchronized past-due subscription can retain paid access for a bounded payment-retry period of up to seven days. Access falls back to Free when that policy no longer qualifies the subscription, the paid period ends, or Stripe reports a nonqualifying status such as unpaid. Stripe and the card issuer control the actual retry schedule and payment notices.
Use the Stripe portal to update payment information when that option is available. Cashflow Scenarios does not make refund guarantees or define a separate refund workflow in the current implementation.
