Account and Billing

Account deletion

Understand password confirmation, permanent data removal, and active-subscription cleanup before deleting an account.

Before deleting your account

Account deletion is intended for permanently closing the account, not for pausing a subscription or clearing one scenario. Review any information you still need before beginning because the application does not provide a restore step after deletion succeeds.

How to delete your account

  1. 1

    Open Settings

Find the Delete Account section in the Danger Zone.

  2. 2

    Choose Delete Account

A confirmation dialog explains the data and billing effects.

  3. 3

    Confirm your current password

The application reauthenticates the signed-in account before continuing.

  4. 4

    Choose Permanently Delete Account

Billing cleanup completes first, then the application deletes the authentication account and signs out the local session.

What gets deleted

Deleting the authentication account removes the linked application records, including the profile, scenarios, income sources, Bills, Living Costs, one-time events, Master Library Items, onboarding state, tour progress, and locally stored billing mappings and subscription state.

The application also deletes its linked Stripe customer after canceling nonterminal subscriptions. Stripe or other payment participants may retain transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, or compliance records under their own legal obligations and policies; this help page does not promise deletion of records they must retain.

Billing considerations

You do not need to cancel a linked subscription separately before deleting the account. The deletion workflow expires open Checkout sessions and immediately cancels nonterminal Stripe subscriptions without proration before it removes the account.

Can deletion be reversed?

No. After the deletion workflow succeeds, the application account and its linked application data cannot be restored. A future sign-up would create a new account rather than recover the deleted one.
